Calendar of workshops, Feldenkrais and Anat Baniel NeuroMovement classes and HANDLE courses in the UK and Europe taught by Sean Williams, including HANDLE Level 1 Introductory course, HANDLE Level 2 Basics Course, HANDLE Level 1 and 2 Combined Course, HANDLE Level 3 Screener Course, HANDLE Level 4 Practitioner course.
This free evening presentation will introduce you to the foundations of HANDLE and is suitable for parents, professionals and anyone interested in how we can have more ease and efficiency in achieving our goals.
Level 1 and 2 Combined is an online course open to anyone which introduces and explores in depth the principles and foundations of the HANDLE approach. Eleven HANDLE activities are taught that can be used and adapted for people of all ages and abilities.
Taught by Sean Williams, and hosted by Optim’Autisme this lively and accessible course runs over three days and will be delivered in English with a French translator.
This course is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the practice and theory of the HANDLE approach, giving you a professional certification to help people with their learning.
The ten month course begins with three separate five day modules of residential training and is followed by six months of distance learning. You will be taught to use the HANDLE Screening Tool with people age five and over who want to address difficulties with academic learning, socialising, behaviour or attention. Building on your learning from HANDLE Levels 1 and 2, you will further your knowledge of the processes of learning, both in yourself and others, become able to identify underlying neurodevelopmental issues that affect how we function, and learn to share this understanding with other people. You will learn to devise and teach individualised programmes of HANDLE Activities and make recommendations designed to help people achieve their goals with more ease and enjoyment.
The HANDLE Screening is a brief practical evaluation to discover neurodevelopmental obstacles that interfere with learning for people aged 5 and upwards with mild difficulties. It is ideal for evaluating individuals or a group in a short period of time.
Completion of all course requirements enables you to be Certified as a HANDLE Screener by The HANDLE Institute® and use the HANDLE Screening Tool and Activities professionally.

Open to those who have completed HANDLE Level 1 and 2 courses. Entry is by approval of application, are allocated on a first come first served basis and are limited to 9.

The course costs £275 (£500 for two) including lunch and course materials, or £250 (£470 for two) if booked before September 4th 2015. Some concessions based on financial need are available, and we have some special subsidised places for local residents.
Places for Level 2 only are £200 or £180 if booked before September 4th 2015. Prior completion of HANDLE Level 1 is a prerequisite for one of these places.

The HANDLE Practitioner Course is a comprehensive course designed to develop the knowledge and skills to provide the full range of HANDLE services to individuals of all ages and with any challenges.
The course begins with four separate modules of residential training and is followed by a year of distance learning and an extensive Internship.
Module i: 3rd-8th July 2015
Module ii: 25th-30th September 2015
Module iii: 26th February-2nd March 2016
Module iv: 29th April- 4th May 2016
The Interactive Learning Tool will be due for completion in May 2017.
Completion of all course and Internship requirements enables you to Certify as a HANDLE Practitioner through The HANDLE Institute®.

Returners from previous Level 4 Courses are welcome on a participatory basis (£375 per module non-residential) and there are limited spaces available on a helping basis.

Level 2 Basics is a two day course open to anyone who has taken HANDLE Level 1. The course explores in depth the principles and foundations of the HANDLE approach. Six new HANDLE activities are taught that can be used and adapted for people of all ages and abilities, and the five Level 1 Activities are explored in more depth and with more variations.
Taught by Sean Williams, this lively and accessible course runs 9.00 - 17.00 on both Saturday and Sunday and will be translated into Polish. The course costs 900 PLN for parents and 990 PLN for professionals. Lunch and course materials in Polish are included.
